Carlsbad, New Mexico-White's City RV Park

October 8-9, 2016

We stopped for a night in Carlsbad to see the cavern. We picked a RV Park right outside the national park entrance called White's City RV Park despite some not-so-good reviews. Well the reviews were right. It was pretty dumpy. The grass was overgrown, the trash overflowing and all over the place and there were soooo many flies. It could be a nice place if those things were taken care of. And for $40 a night, they should be able to!

But it worked out fine and on our first night, we drove into the park to see the bat flight. It was pretty neat but I think the bat flight from the Congress bridge in Austin is pretty great. Jacob spotted some mountain goats on the way in and so we were able to stop and watch them for a little as well.

The next day we toured the cave. It's an awesome cave with so many formations!

That was pretty much it for Carlsbad and the same day, we were back on the road!
